Legal analysis is integrated, with the involvement of intellectual property lawyers.
Its focus: revealing and developing the present and future value of patents and other technology rights by identifying new uses, current markets and plausible future markets, players able to exploit them, and the different value-creation options.
STELLYX pays particular attention to dormant patents (with no historical economic exploitation), as well as strategies to protect technology rights held by companies in financial difficulty, in order to avoid abandonment and entry into the public domain.

The future is not a mechanical extension of the past. Economic history is essential when it exists, but on its own it does not explain how an asset may evolve, change use, attract new players or take a different position in a changing market.
For some assets, the question is also what may change their utility, attractiveness or value: new uses, adjacent markets, technological disruption, licences, partnerships or the interest of a specific acquirer.

Exploited patent or asset
The valuation is based on economic history: revenues, licences, costs, savings, uses and available operating data. STELLYX then places that history in perspective with factors that may alter future value.
Dormant
Dormant patent or asset
It has no economic history allowing a conventional assessment. The analysis therefore looks for value in possible uses, markets, complementary technologies, relevant players and opportunity windows.
